About the collection
This gallery queries San Francisco’s public 311 dataset for reports with media links in furniture, electronics, mattress, refrigerator, and appliance categories, including historical category names.
Search runs against report categories, streets, neighborhoods, and record IDs. It does not identify objects inside photos. Results are ordered newest first. We fetch 72 candidate reports at a time and display working photos as they are checked. More load in the background before you reach the end. The gallery keeps roughly 60 photos ahead, and Browse starts fetching several screens ahead.
SF311 updates its dataset daily. Results may be cached for several minutes. Images load from the original hosts and are checked before display. Broken links, unsupported attachments, and photos that take longer than eight seconds to load are skipped. Each batch may contain fewer than 72 unique working photos. Repeated photos are removed using image fingerprints when the host allows pixel access, or photo URLs otherwise. A Load more photos button is also available.
